Paul Rossi, Managing Director and Executive Vice President, Americas, The Economist
Since 2008, Paul Rossi has filled the role of Managing Director and Executive Vice President of The Economist Group for the Americas, which includes The Economist magazine, Economist events and conferences, and research and brand extensions. In addition to overseeing The Economist Group, which includes CQ Roll Call, he is also responsible for Economist Education, a series of online education courses geared towards global executives, as well the Ideas People Channel, an online advertising network based on The Economist audience, and Economist Online Fairs, an online fairs business for education, recruitment, and business services.
Paul joined The Economist in 1987, managing advertising sales for the Middle East and Africa. In 1990, he opened The Economist's office in Singapore, where he served as Advertising Director in Asia. He became Advertising Director in North America in 1996. In 2000, Paul became Commercial Director of The Economist online, and Publisher of the site in 2003, where he further established the website as a profitable global business. In January 2005, he was named Publisher of The Economist in North America, responsible for all commercial aspects of The Economist, including advertising, circulation and marketing for The Economist magazine, The Economist online, and other Economist-brand businesses.
In 2007, BtoB Media Business named Paul one of its top publishing innovators. In 2008, Adweek called The Economist the hottest magazine in America, naming Paul one of two Executives of the Year along with The Economist’s Editor-in-Chief.
Deanna Brown, CEO Federated Media

Deanna Brown is FMP’s chief executive officer and is responsible for overseeing all strategic business goals and day-to-day operations for thecompany. Prior to joining FMP in 2009, she served as President at Scripps Networks Digital, where she led the charge on bringing Scripps more fully into the digital space. In 1995 she co-founded CondeNet, the digital division of publisher CondeNast.
Deanna has also held VP and General Manager titles at Yahoo and AOL, and founded other successful media companies, including Powerful Media/Inside.com (acquired by Primedia) and Gaming Industry News (acquired by Ziff Davis).
Brown began her career as a founding member of a small L.A. advertising agency upon graduation from the University of Southern California.
She has more than twenty-five years experience as a seasoned media executive, entrepreneur and Fortune 500 executive.
