Digiday’s conferences are editorially programmed to provide honest dialogue about important issues facing digital media -- with a specific focus on brands, advertisers and agencies. Digiday welcomes speaker submissions for those willing to take a stand on important, and sometimes controversial, topics. ![]() | Brian Atwood, VP, National Sales, AOL Premium Formats & Pictela Brian Atwood oversees revenue growth for Premium Format advertising, an extension of the Project Devil initiative, as well as all third-party and publisher relationships for Pictela. In this position, he focuses on delivering value to advertisers and publishers through Pictela's consumer-centric, interactive ad formats and increasing their adoption across AOL, the Advertising.com network and premium publishers. Since joining AOL in 2008, he has also worked in sales positions focusing on Advertising.com network business, as well as leading a regional sales team covering the central U.S. Prior to AOL, Brian held sales roles at Omniture for five years, focusing on strategic accounts. |
![]() | Michael Bayle, SVP and GM, ESPN Mobile A former Yahoo! and Microsoft executive, Michael Bayle develops and manages all aspects of ESPN's mobile strategy and execution, including content production, programming and publishing on every ESPN Mobile platform. He reports to John Kosner, SVP and GM of ESPN Digital and Print Media. Most recently, Michael was VP of Monetization and Marketing at Amobee, a leading mobile marketing developer, where he led global ad operations, North American business and market development and strategic partnerships. Prior to Amobee, he was Senior Director of Global Mobile Monetization at Yahoo!, where he launched Yahoo's mobile advertising business, while building a global team that created mobile campaigns for Fortune 500 partners in 29 markets. Bayle also held business development positions at Yahoo!, Microsoft and International Data Group (IDG). Michael is also co-founder of Drink Exchange, a monthly global internet networking event. |
![]() | Daniel Bernstein, VP, Head of Business Development, Meebo Daniel Bernstein is VP, Head of Business Development and Emerging Revenue at Meebo, a consumer Internet company that organizes the web around people, and helps build out their Interest graph for easy, faster access to relevant info on the web. Daniel oversees the company's business development and emerging revenue strategies, and leads the business development, partnership management, performance ad sales, emerging revenue and technical account management teams. He is responsible for developing monetization opportunities outside of brand advertising and for driving Meebo's partnership network beyond its existing 8,000 publishers. He has been integral in the development of Meebo's direct response advertising business, which now includes 25 of the top 100 display advertising buyers, including Levi's, Groupon and Norwegian Cruise Line. Prior to Meebo, Daniel worked in client services at Bite Communications, a global communications consultancy. |
![]() | Deanna Brown, CEO, Federated Media Deanna Brown is Federated Media's CEO and is responsible for overseeing all strategic business goals and day-to-day operations for the company. Prior to joining Federated Media in 2009, she served as President at Scripps Networks Digital, where she led the charge on bringing Scripps more fully into the digital space. In 1995 she co-founded CondeNet, the digital division of publisher CondeNast. She has also held VP and General Manager titles at Yahoo and AOL, and founded other successful media companies including Powerful Media/Inside.com (acquired by Primedia) and Gaming Industry News (acquired by Ziff Davis). Brown began her career as a founding member of a small L.A. advertising agency. |

These websites roll-up under four branded demographic hubs: CraveOnline.com, SheKnows.com, GameRevolution.com, and theFashionSpot.com reaching over 40 million men, women and teens each month. Mike oversees a team of 100 employees and 280 contractors and freelancers responsible for editorial, operations, business development, marketing, sale and product development. He was formerly GM for the Home & Real Estate Division of Internet Brands Inc. where he oversaw the division's expansion from three to 12 major web properties and tripled revenue to over $20 million. He also served as CMO for Zensys Inc., a Cisco & Intel-backed wireless technology company, and held management positions with McKinsey & Co. and Proctor & Gamble. |

He joined Inform from Internet Broadcasting, a leading provider of digital publishing solutions for media publishers and advertisers. As General Manager of its Media Network and SVP of Market Development, Tony was responsible for growing major external relationships as well as developing and executing strategies around the company's mobile initiatives. Tony also worked at online video platform Brightcove and held several senior posts throughout his 12-year tenure at MTV Networks. |
![]() | Raymond Faust, VP, National and Emerging Media Sales, Star Tribune Raymond Faust is responsible for national and emerging media sales at the Star Tribune, including creating and selling multi-platform ad programs to national advertisers and agencies. He joined the Star Tribune in August 2010. Prior to that, he was Advertising Director, Central U.S. with Media Networks Inc. (MNI), a Time Inc. company that sells customized magazine and digital media on a geo-targeted basis. He spent the past eight years with MNI, most recently running the Midwest and Southeast Regions, and was instrumental in leading the company through digital and print sales integration in 2006. Prior to Media Networks, Raymond worked in Chicago at USA Weekend Magazine, published by Gannett, developing major CPG and retail accounts in the Midwest. Previous to that he was Midwest Manager at Hachette Filipacchi for the Special Interest Publications group at Women's Day Magazine. |

He is responsible for generating revenue throughout the MSNBC Digital Network, which is comprised of MSNBC Digital Network owned and operated properties, including MSNBC.com,Today.com, NightlyNews.com, BreakingNews.com, Everyblock.com, NewsVine.com and various premium partner platforms. Moritz is actively involved with helping the next generation of digital leaders through formal and informal mentoring programs, and when he has a spare moment, he is working to bring political advertising into the digital age. Prior to joining MSNBC. com is 2005, Moritz worked at MSN / Microsoft out of Redmond, Wash. While at MSN, he was responsible for building out the first sales model and bringing in clients for keyword-targeted ads on MSN Search in 1999 as the regional lead for the MSN SMB Sales Team. He then went on to become an advertising product planner for MSN Communications, building out the advertising strategy for Hotmail and MSN Messenger. In 2002, he joined MSN's strategic advertising packaging team S.T.A.R.T. as a product manager focusing on the technology, telecommunications, consumer package goods and online education verticals. |

Founded in 2002, Gawker Media is comprised of the eponymous Gawker, gadget sensation Gizmodo, and other properties that are frequently name-checked by major media ranging from The New York Times to Comedy Central's "The Daily Show." Since joining Gawker Media in 2005, Erin has aided in the formation and growth of the company's sales and marketing effort from two to 22 members. She currently directs both the sales marketing and advertising operations teams, two revenue-driving groups that rarely report to a single leader. In her position, Erin concepts, executes and scales ad strategies for blue-chip clients whose needs range from mass market reach to social media integration. |

He is also responsible for Economist Education, a series of online education courses geared toward global executives; the Ideas People Channel, an online advertising network based on The Economist audience; and Economist Online Fairs, an online fairs business for education, recruitment and business services. Rossi joined The Economist in 1987, managing advertising sales for the Middle East and Africa. In 1990, he opened The Economist's office in Singapore, where he served as Advertising Director in Asia. He became Advertising Director in North America in 1996. In 2000, Paul became Commercial Director of The Economist online, and Publisher of the site in 2003. In January 2005, he was named Publisher of The Economist in North America, responsible for all commercial aspects of The Economist.
